INDA
ERG is supporting the INDA Foundation in organising the 55th cycle of classical plays, running at the Greek Theatre in Siracusa from 10 May to 23 June. This continues its partnership with the INDA, Istituto Nazionale del Dramma Antico, forged in 2005 and in which ERG has played the role of private member of the Foundation from 2009 to 2014.
ERG's alliance with the INDA forms part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities to support major cultural initiatives in the areas it operates in with its sustainable and renewable energy plants. ERG's support is also concretely demonstrated in its funding of work that the Cultural Heritage Superintendence is implementing to restore, promote and maintain the Archaeology Park, which includes the Greek Theatre.
More specifically, in 2018, ERG funded the project for the protection of the cavea; in 2016 it created and donated to the Siracuse Superintendence the final design for the artistic lighting of the Latomia del Paradiso; from 2015 to 2017 it organised the event, in conjunction with the Superintendence, entitled "Un Paradiso da riscoprire" , which involved night tours of the Latomia del Paradiso and the Ear of Dionysius cave; since 2009, ERG has also been funding maintenance work on the Park.
The 55th series of classical plays at the Greek Theatre in Siracusa will be presented at a press conference on 2 April to the Ministry of Cultural Heritage in Rome; on 3 April at the Piccolo Teatro "G. Strehler" in Milan and on 13 April in Siracusa.
