Sustainability Policies

We act in a rigorous, ethical and sustainable way to protect our business and stakeholders.

Sustainability policies

We act with rigour, ethics and a strong sense of sustainability to protect our business and all our stakeholders. Our commitment to the responsible management of our activities is formalised in the Code of Ethics and in a structured system of policies that guides the Group’s conduct, supports decision-making processes and strengthens our governance model over time.

This system includes the Sustainability Policy, the Human Rights Policy, the D&I Policy, the Anti-harassment Policy, the Gender Equality Policy, the AI Policy, the HSE Policy, the Risk Policy, the Supplier Code of Conduct and the Stakeholder Engagement Policy.

This set of guiding principles allows us not only to operate in compliance with laws and regulations, but also to promote an inclusive environment, enhance people’s potential, prevent risks and create shared value throughout the value chain.

ERG has always been committed to keeping its policy system constantly updated and aligned with changes in the regulatory environment, strategic context and business model. Sustainability policies are periodically reviewed to reflect international best practices, organisational changes within the Group and emerging priorities. Continuous updating is therefore a key tool in supporting sustainable and responsible growth over the long term.

Code of Ethics
ERG’s Code of Ethics defines the core values and principles that guide the conduct of the Group and of all the people acting on its behalf. It promotes integrity, transparency, respect for people, protection of the environment and biodiversity, as well as proper relationships with all stakeholders. It applies to all Group people and to anyone who has dealings with ERG.

Sustainability Policy
The Sustainability Policy sets out the guiding principles through which ERG integrates sustainability into its strategy and business model, confirming its focus on renewable energy. It defines sustainability oversight at governance level, the integration of ESG objectives into decision-making processes and the main environmental, social and governance priorities. It applies to all Group companies and throughout the value chain.

Human Rights Policy
The Human Rights Policy establishes ERG’s commitment to respecting and protecting human rights across all its activities. The Policy covers both labour practices and relationships with the communities and territories in which the Group operates. By prohibiting any form of forced, child or discriminatory labour, it promotes decent and safe working conditions and also applies to suppliers and business partners.

D&I Policy
The Diversity & Inclusion Policy promotes an inclusive working environment based on respect for diversity and equal opportunities. ERG recognises diversity as a driver of growth, innovation and quality of dialogue. The Policy aims to prevent any form of discrimination and to enhance each person’s individual characteristics, as an integral part of the Group’s human capital strategy.

Anti-harassment Policy
The Anti-harassment, Violence and Bullying Policy affirms the principle of zero tolerance towards any behaviour that undermines personal dignity. ERG is committed to ensuring safe, respectful and inclusive working environments by regulating the prevention, reporting and management of such incidents. The Policy applies to all Group people and to both internal and external professional relationships.

Gender Equality Policy
The Gender Equality Policy promotes equal opportunities in access, professional development and remuneration. ERG is committed to overcoming stereotypes and barriers, fostering gender balance in roles, career paths and decision-making processes.

AI Policy
The Artificial Intelligence Policy defines the principles and rules of conduct to be followed in the adoption of AI systems, protecting the organisation and its people from the risks inherent in these technologies. Its purpose is to promote informed, responsible use that is consistent with the Group’s values.

HSE Policy
The Health, Safety & Environment Policy defines ERG’s commitment to protecting people’s health and safety and safeguarding the environment. It promotes risk prevention, the reduction of environmental impacts and the continuous improvement of HSE performance across all Group activities.

Risk Policy
The Risk Policy sets out the ERG Group’s risk management system, ensuring a structured and integrated approach. It defines roles, responsibilities and processes for the identification, assessment and mitigation of risks, including ESG and sustainability-related risks. In this way, it supports strategic decision-making and long-term value creation.

Supplier Code of Conduct
The Supplier Code of Conduct defines the principles and standards of behaviour required throughout the supply chain. It requires compliance with human rights, labour regulations, health and safety requirements and environmental standards. ERG promotes ethical and responsible practices among its partners and considers compliance with the Code to be an essential condition for establishing and maintaining business relationships.

Stakeholder Engagement Policy
The Stakeholder Engagement Policy defines the approach through which ERG promotes structured, transparent and ongoing dialogue with its stakeholders. The aim is to understand expectations, priorities and impacts, strengthen relationships of trust and help guide the Group’s decisions in an increasingly informed and aware manner.
