Poland

With its 82 MW of installed capacity, Poland is our third largest country for wind power.

The objective is to further increase the megawatts installed in 2015-2018, in line with international expansion outlined in our business plan. Our three wind farms in this country started operating in 2015.

We acquired our first wind farm in 2014, in the Radziejów region in the South of the country. It has an installed capacity of 42 MW and an electricity generation capacity of more than 100 GWh. It was commissioned in July 2015 and accounts for €4 million of our EBITDA.

In early 2015 we signed an agreement to acquire Hydro Inwestycje, a Polish company that owns the permits to build a wind farm in the Szydlowo and Stupsk municipalities, for an installed capacity of 14 MW. In March 2015 we acquired from the PAI Group (PAI Polish Alternative Investments RES) 100% of the share capital of a company under Polish law (SPV) that owns the permits to build a 26 MW wind farm near Slupia. These wind farms started to contribute to the Group's operating result in 2016.
