'Voglio fare il manager' (I want to be a manager) 2021 edition
The 2021 edition was held online and involved a total of 86 students. It took the form of a series of interesting training webinars by CFMT (Manageritalia's Training Centre), which ended on 31 May.
The initiative, in which ERG has been participating since 2016, then saw a series of meetings with the managers of the partner companies.
Our own Paola Torre and Andrea Ferrando represented ERG at this stage. During their meeting with an audience of interested students, Paola and Andrea talked about the qualities that a manager should possess and continue to develop and what a company that hires a new graduate expects.
It was also interesting to discuss how, in today's challenging and fast-changing environment, human capital needs to be enriched with new functions and skills: how 'learning agility', the need to develop multidisciplinary and transversal knowledge and skills in different areas of the company and the enhancement of inclusion and diversity are increasingly strategic.
In terms of the fastest emerging skills in the 'post-pandemic' world, our team explored with the pupils the themes of 'digital innovation' and 'smartworking'. In particular, they emphasised how the latter has changed the way we work, moving towards a model increasingly oriented towards trust, autonomy and results
Participation in the 2021 edition of 'Voglio fare il manager' gave us the chance to be spokespersons and witnesses of ERG's leadership model. We shared it with young students, doing something useful to help them orient themselves in the world of work awaiting them, as part of the activities that ERG encourages to maintain the institutional relationship between the company and the university world.
