Renato Sturani is ERG's New Chief Operating Officer

With effect from 1 December 2020, Renato Sturani joins the ERG Group as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer of ERG Power Generation S.p.A reporting directly to the CEO. In this position he replaces Pietro Tittoni, who leaves the company having become eligible for retirement.

Renato Sturani holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has developed over twenty-five years of experience with international companies in the electricity sector, largely in the Operations area. In BKW AG (Switzerland) he held the role of Head of Business Division Renewables & Efficiency and subsequently of Head of Business Unit Hydraulic Power Generation.

He previously worked at Alpiq AG (Switzerland), firstly as Head of Business Unit Power Generation Region West (Italy and France) and then Head of Business Unit Renewables Energy Sources (5 European countries). At ABB Alstom Power Ltd (Switzerland), as Site Manager, he oversaw the construction of combined cycles in Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Mexico, Renato Sturani's long and articulated experience abroad, together with his solid technical and managerial skills, will bring a major contribution of knowledge and international vision of the sector, fundamental for achieving the Group's growth objectives.
