Elettricità Futura founded

Today sees the founding meeting of Elettricità Futura in Rome, the new association formed from the merger between Assoelettrica, the Italian Association of Electricity Enterprises, and Assorinnovabili, the Italian Renewable Energies Association, in which ERG will act as one of the Vice Chairs.

Elettricità Futura is the leading association on the Italian electricity panorama. It represents and protects the many companies, small and large, that operate in the sector.

With Elettricità Futura it will be possible to overcome the historic contradistinction between renewables and fossil fuels as only in this way will it be possible to respond to the challenges of the future: decarbonisation and energy efficiency require the development of renewable sources and the electrification of the final uses of energy.

The merger of Assoelettrica and Assorinnovabili is unique at European level: being the first to understand that working together does not mean diminishing their respective representation but strengthening it in order to meet the new challenges and changes that await will enable the new association to play a leading role in both the Italian and international arena.
