Luca Bragoli at the Global Wind Day in Rome
“We must accelerate renewable energy because it represents a solution to 3 challenges: energy independence, decarbonisation and the stabilisation of energy costs. Unfortunately, however, an enduringly slow authorisation phase and renewable energy tenders that are not yet aligned with the increase in the costs of the technologies are preventing the roll-out of the renewable energy capacity that the country needs. In addition, short-sighted regulatory measures have imposed ceilings on operators' revenues, while taking away resources from those who have to invest the most to support the energy transition. A systemic effort is thus required to be able to achieve our 2030 decarbonisation goals”.
Luca Bragoli, Chief Regulatory & Public Affairs Officer for ERG, spoke yesterday at the meeting on "Wind power, the energy of the transition between landscape and development: a choice of field", an event organised by ANEV, the National Wind Energy Association, to mark international wind day. The meeting, moderated by Stefano Secondino, a journalist for ANSA, was attended by Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Minister of the Environment and Energy Security; Simone Togni, Chairman of ANEV; and Paolo Arrigoni, Chairman of GSE (Energy Services Manager).
