"Monitoro lo stato degli impianti per rendere più efficiente la produzione di energia pulita: scopri l’analisi predittiva!" leggi la storia di Federica!
"When you love what you do, no obstacle can stop you!"
Federica joined ERG in September 2021, working in CBM (Condition-Based Maintenance) at the Predictive Diagnostic Center within the Wind & Solar Global Operation department.
“I primarily focus on predictive analysis of the drive train of wind turbines across our Italian and international assets, using vibration and lubricant analysis as my main tools. I also manage key components (from procurement to maintenance and monitoring), specifically blades and blade bearings. Additionally, together with my colleagues, I'm constantly searching for new technologies or pilot projects to improve machine efficiency and extend component lifespan," she explains.
It’s a job of great responsibility, but one that doesn’t intimidate her as she’s involved in every stage of the maintenance process.
“After identifying the problem," Federica shares, "our team must evaluate intervention times, considering weather conditions, duration, and repair costs. Proper planning is crucial to minimize the impact on clean energy production. Maintaining high renewable energy output is essential during this phase of the energy transition."
Federica’s first encounter with ERG was during "1Year1Day," an event organized by the University of Genoa to connect students with companies:
“When I was still a student, I participated in one edition of the event. Some time later, ERG contacted me—they had kept my resume in their database and wanted to offer me this position. In the meantime, I had worked for other companies, but at ERG, I felt I could truly make a difference in the fight against climate change and grow professionally. Each person at ERG is given clear responsibilities from the start, and thanks to the many training courses, I can stay continuously updated.”
