In the scouting phase, the first edition of ERG Re-Generation Challenge involved Umbria, Lazio and Marche with a total of 66 projects presented. The three winners continued their entrepreneurial development process by forming contacts and agreements with major companies in the energy sector.
The second edition of ERG Re-Generation Challenge will be national in scope, focusing particularly on the regions of South and Central Italy. It will begin in July and conclude in November 2018, and will be structured into three phases: selection of projects, training and the presentation of awards.
The selection phase will be overseen by a team of dpixel experts who will promote the initiative through an authentic roadshow on board the "Barcamper" mobile office in 10 cities: Sassari, Naples, Salerno, Potenza, Bari, Cosenza, Catania, Palermo, Campobasso and Terni.
Forty business ideas will be selected with their proponents taking part in 2 days of training on business modelling. In the second phase, 20 of the 40 projects will be chosen to take part in a week-long workshop during which a team of mentors and experts will help to fine-tune them.
In the third phase, the 10 most interesting business ideas will be evaluated by managers, sponsors and institutional representatives from the areas involved during a public event that will take place in Palermo in November.
The 3 best projects will receive a cash prize conditional on their subsequent realisation.
