ERG at Wind Europe 2024
Tomorrow will begin Wind Europe 2024, the largest event dedicated to wind energy at international level. ERG, a leading player in renewables, will be participating with a cross-company team to share projects and insights into the future of the sector.
Themes of Wind Europe
From March 20th to 22nd, 2024, in Bilbao, the event occurs at a pivotal moment in European politics, with the upcoming EU elections in June and the installment of the new Commission in November. In this context, wind energy is at the forefront of European government agendas. Its significance extends beyond combating climate change, encompassing job creation, innovation, and energy sovereignty, with 350,000 jobs in Europe and 250 GW of installed capacity on the continent. The conference aims to highlight the importance of wind energy for Europeans, focusing on aspects such as energy security, economic growth, employment, community development, and environmental protection.
ERG at Wind Europe
With over 12,000 expected participants and hundreds of speakers from international businesses and institutions, the event serves as a significant platform for analyzing industry trends, innovations, and the current state of affairs. ERG will not only be among the participants but will also play a central role, hosting two panels dedicated to sharing its projects and corporate vision. Luca Bragoli, Chief Regulatory & Public Affairs Officer, will discuss sector developments in Southern Europe; Nicolas Smadja, Head Of Legal Affairs Wind & BD France, will focus on permitting issues.
ERG's Commitment to Energy Transition
ERG is actively committed to achieving global goals in combating climate change. With nearly 2,800 MW of operational wind power and approximately 4 GW in the pipeline across nine countries for wind and solar projects, we aim to contribute to building a sustainable, independent, and energy-secure society.
