Electricity Day 2017 in Umbria and Sicily
Electricity Day is an initiative that ERG has been running for over 10 years. It takes place in Sicily and Umbria in areas in which it operates with its plants, and is aimed at technical school students.
The company's technical experts tell the children how sustainable electricity is produced, accompanying them on a tour of a wind farm, a thermoelectric power plant fuelled by natural gas, which stands out for its high efficiency and low environmental impact, and a hydroelectric power plant.
Two days will be dedicated to the initiative: Saturday 11 November, with students from the technical schools of Viterbo, Rieti and Terni visiting the hydroelectric power plant in Galleto (Terni); Saturday 18 November, with students from the province of Syracuse visiting the Turbogas ERG Power plant in Melilli and the Carlentini (Syracuse) wind farm.
