ERG at the CSR Show at Bocconi University
28 September 2020 - Again this year ERG will participate in the CSR and Social Innovation Show, now in its eighth edition, which will take place on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September in Milan The theme of the 2020 edition is ‘The faces of Sustainability'.

The Show will involve 205 organisations via streaming and over 300 speakers in a total of 80 events. The show is "recognised as the main event in Italy dedicated to CSR issues and over the years has contributed to the spread of the culture of sustainability, offered opportunities for updating, and facilitated networking between the various social actors".

On Wednesday 30 September, our Head of IR and CSR Emanuela Delucchi and our CSR Manager Claudio Pirani will take part in two panels: "Accountability to boost stakeholder awareness" (9am) and "Energy transition and sustainable development" (10am).

The first round table will also see the presence of A2A, RadiciGroup and GRI - Global Reporting Initiative. It will look at social and environmental reporting and how it has evolved following the introduction of the Directive 2014/95/EU and the growing interest of the market and investors. ENEL Italia, Sorgenia and Saipem will take part in the second event, looking at the energy transition and the great opportunity it represents for businesses, an opportunity that demands choices which take into account climatic, energy, environmental, industrial and social aspects.

ERG's account will focus on the business transformation of the last ten years and the strategy of engagement with the regions within the RES development processes. All the events of the 2020 Show will be live-streamed on 29 and 30 September from 9am to 7pm.

ERG at Italian Sustainability Week 2020
Today, Wednesday 1 July, we are participating with Emanuela Delucchi, Head of Investor Relations & CSR, and Claudio Pirani, CSR Manager, in Italian Sustainability Week, the new digital format of Italian Sustainability Day, organised for the first time in 2017.

The event is designed to facilitate direct dialogue and interaction between businesses and investors that are particularly concerned with environmental, social and governance issues. The 2020 edition is taking place over the course of an entire week in order to reach out to as many stakeholders as possible while respecting social distancing, and involves the participation of 49 businesses (47 listed and 2 private) representing over 55% of the market cap who will discuss their sustainable growth strategies with domestic and international institutional investors.

The event is organised by Borsa Italiana with the support of the Italian Forum for Sustainable Finance, Global Compact Network Italy, PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment), SSE (Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative) and Carbonsink, in collaboration with Banca IMI, BofA Securities, Citi, Intermonte and Kepler Cheuvreux.

CSR IS - CSR and Social Innovation Show in Genoa
Today, Tuesday 23 June, the "CSR and Social Innovation Show" - the "Sustainability tour of Italy" - came to Genoa having already visited Turin, Udine, Padua, Ivrea, Bari, Trento, Verona, Rome, Treviso, Naples, Messina and Bologna.

Now in its eighth iteration, this year's show, whose theme is "the faces of Sustainability - transformative resilience", was streamed live. After the opening and introductory remarks by Marco Bucci, Mayor of Genoa, Giovanni Battista Valsecchi, Chairman of Eticlab, and Adriana Del Borghi, Environmental Sustainability Officer of the University of Genoa, Gianni Bottalico, Secretary of ASviS – the Italian Sustainable Development Alliance, assessed the 2030 Agenda.

He was followed by Rossella Sobrero, of the Group which promotes the show, who introduced the round table "lots of faces, one shared goal", where various entities shared their sustainable development experiences: as well as outlining the group's activities, Claudio Pirani, Sustainability Manager of ERG, described how combating climate change today is a key element in the anti-covid strategy.

The next CSR IS – Sustainability and Social Innovation Show meeting is the final event at Bocconi University in Milan which will be held – and once again streamed live – on 29 and 30 September 2020.
