ERG at Italian Sustainability Week 2020

ERG at Italian Sustainability Week 2020
Today, Wednesday 1 July, we are participating with Emanuela Delucchi, Head of Investor Relations & CSR, and Claudio Pirani, CSR Manager, in Italian Sustainability Week, the new digital format of Italian Sustainability Day, organised for the first time in 2017.

The event is designed to facilitate direct dialogue and interaction between businesses and investors that are particularly concerned with environmental, social and governance issues. The 2020 edition is taking place over the course of an entire week in order to reach out to as many stakeholders as possible while respecting social distancing, and involves the participation of 49 businesses (47 listed and 2 private) representing over 55% of the market cap who will discuss their sustainable growth strategies with domestic and international institutional investors.

The event is organised by Borsa Italiana with the support of the Italian Forum for Sustainable Finance, Global Compact Network Italy, PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment), SSE (Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative) and Carbonsink, in collaboration with Banca IMI, BofA Securities, Citi, Intermonte and Kepler Cheuvreux.

CSR IS - CSR and Social Innovation Show in Genoa

CSR IS - CSR and Social Innovation Show in Genoa
Today, Tuesday 23 June, the "CSR and Social Innovation Show" - the "Sustainability tour of Italy" - came to Genoa having already visited Turin, Udine, Padua, Ivrea, Bari, Trento, Verona, Rome, Treviso, Naples, Messina and Bologna.

Now in its eighth iteration, this year's show, whose theme is "the faces of Sustainability - transformative resilience", was streamed live. After the opening and introductory remarks by Marco Bucci, Mayor of Genoa, Giovanni Battista Valsecchi, Chairman of Eticlab, and Adriana Del Borghi, Environmental Sustainability Officer of the University of Genoa, Gianni Bottalico, Secretary of ASviS – the Italian Sustainable Development Alliance, assessed the 2030 Agenda.

He was followed by Rossella Sobrero, of the Group which promotes the show, who introduced the round table "lots of faces, one shared goal", where various entities shared their sustainable development experiences: as well as outlining the group's activities, Claudio Pirani, Sustainability Manager of ERG, described how combating climate change today is a key element in the anti-covid strategy.

The next CSR IS – Sustainability and Social Innovation Show meeting is the final event at Bocconi University in Milan which will be held – and once again streamed live – on 29 and 30 September 2020.
