Barbara Cominelli

Barbara is the Director of Commercial Operations for Vodafone Italy: leading a team of 3,000 people, she's in charge of Customer Operations, Customer Value Management operations, Customer Experience, Products and Services Development, Credit and Risk Management, Digital and Social Media.

From 2003 to 2010 she served as Strategy, Marketing and Planning Director for Tenaris Dalmine (Techint) world leader in products and services for the Energy Industry. Her responsibilities included Strategy and M&A, Marketing of the BU Power Generation & Process and of the BU Industrial/Automotive, Economic/Financial Planning, Industrial Planning and Institutional Relationships.

From 2006 to 2010 she served as a member and then President of the Board of So.Par.Fi Dalmine Holdings, the holding of the European assets of Tenaris.
Before joining Tenaris she served for three years as Partner in a Venture Capital Firm scouting, structuring and managing investments in the IT/High Tech Industry.

Previously she worked as a Manager in the Management Consulting firm A.T. Kearney in the London and Milan offices: one of the youngest Managers in Europe, she managed consulting assignments for major multinational clients in the Manufacturing/Automotive, Consumer Goods and IT/High Tech industries in the areas of Strategy, Marketing and Distribution, Process Redesign, Supply Chain, Performance Excellence.

She started her career as Reserchear and Assistant Professor at Bocconi University, teaching Marketing and Industry analysis and publishing various articles/studies for the EU Commission and OECD on the Italian Firms Internationalization and Financing processes.

She has a wide international experience, she studied/worked in Italy, UK, USA, Spain, The Netherlands and she has a successful track record in managing culturally diverse organizations.

She holds a degree 110/110 Summa cum Laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University and the Master CEMS-MIM in International Management from Bocconi and ESADE, Barcelona; she also studied at the Rotterdam School of Management, Stanford and SDA Bocconi.

In 2014 she's been awarded the prize for Women Executives "Merito e Talento". In 2010 she's been awarded the price "Best Young Executive", by Italian Executives Association.
She lives in Milan with her husband and her son.
