Barbara Cominelli has an experience of over 20 years in the ICT, Telco and Energy sectors besides being a strategic consultant operating in Italy and abroad. At present she is the Commercial Operations & Digital Director of Vodafone Italy responsible for the digital and traditional channels.
She leads a team of 3,000 people. She has been recently nominated among the 50 most influent European Women in the world of technology by InspiringFifty.
She is an independent Board Member at ERG S.p.A. besides being member of the Risks and Control Committee.
From 2003 to 2010 she served as Strategy, Marketing and Planning Director for Tenaris Dalmine (Techint) world leader in products and services for the Energy Industry, besides being member and then President of the Board of So.Par.Fi Dalmine Holdings.
Previously she was Partner of a Venture Capital company managing investments in the high-tech industry in Italy, France and USA.
She was also Manager in the Management Consulting firm A.T. Kearney in the London and Milan offices: one of the youngest Managers in Europe, she managed consulting assignments for major multinational clients in the Manufacturing/Automotive, Consumer Goods and IT/High Tech industries.
She started her career as Reserchear and Assistant Professor at Bocconi University, teaching Marketing and Industry analysis.
She has a wide international experience, she studied/worked in Italy, UK, USA, Spain, The Netherlands and she has a successful track record in managing culturally diverse organizations.
She holds a degree 110/110 Summa cum Laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University and the Master CEMS-MIM in International Management from Bocconi and ESADE (Barcelona); she also studied at the Rotterdam School of Management, Stanford and SDA Bocconi.
Along with her team she has been awarded a dozen of prizes in the Digital field, in the Customer Experience Excellence, and in the ‘Digital Disconnect' both in Italy and abroad.
In 2014 she's been awarded the prize for Women Executives "Merito e Talento". In 2010 she's been awarded the price "Best Young Executive", by Italian Executives Association.
She lives in Milan with her husband, her son and her cat.
